This afternoon, I rushed home from a long day at work (after a long day at work yesterday, too!) to get bundled up to go to a local Christmas parade. It had a plethora of scout groups, high school marching bands, church floats, and candy tossers. Among the highlights were the Racing Sausages with Bernie Brewer, a hot air balloon burner that shot flames into the air, and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus. We have a vested interest in their arrival, as the boys know Santa and the Mrs. as Ken and Bobbie, the parents of Chuck’s girlfriend, Sara. In fact, Sara is an elf in the parade.
Thankfully, the weather was relatively mild, especially compared to what we’ve been dealing with recently, and we had a good time.
