This evening after I picked up the boys from my parents’ house, we were driving past the hospital where I work. The cars ahead of me were stopping in the middle of the hill and I noticed 4 deer crossing the road (we live in a pretty suburban area, but the deer are everywhere!). I […]
This morning, we were able to start our day in one of my favorite ways-the boys climbing into bed (nicely waiting until after the clock says “7-zero-zero” to come in our room) and all of us snuggling. Then off to breakfast, and no other agenda for a few hours. We cleaned up a bit, built […]
I’m currently watching “17 Kids and Counting” and thinking, for about the thousandth time, that this family is CRAZY! Nuts, I tell you! I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again, but when they say they’ll have as many kids as God has intended for them, I say God made people smart […]
A couple of months ago, Andy and I started talking about taking the boys to Chicago. We thought they’d enjoy the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum. This was our weekend to go, and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend.
We headed out early Saturday morning to drive down. We endured the dreaded […]
Today has been a pretty nice Sunday. Many of you may know that I often suffer from “S.A.D.” which I have renamed to “Sunday Affective Disorder.” It was especially bad in grad school when Andy lived in Appleton and I was still in Madison and we had to go our separate ways on Sundays. Now […]
This afternoon we finally got to spend some time with my dear friend, Liz, and her three kids who live in Massachusetts. I say “finally” because rather than being in the Milwaukee area all week like originally planned, they have been in Chicago with family as her grandmother is not doing well.
I’m so […]
Today we braved the weather to take the boys to the Badger football game vs. Minnesota. It was about 38 degrees with some wind and occasional flurries. That’s pretty chilly for sitting outside at a football game! But the boys did great! And we won, which made it that much better.
Before the game, we […]
I’m ready to go to bed, so I’ll just post a couple of pictures. Noah took these a few weeks ago with our point-and-shoot camera. He has his own kiddie camera, but he likes to try the grown-up camera. Not too bad!
[…]
…can it be 72 degrees on November 5, one degree short of the record, only to be expecting, based on the forecast, 40 degrees for a high and snow by November 8. It really sucks when you know that today is the last nice day we’ll probably see until April or May! But we’ve enjoyed […]
It’s November, which means that it’s NaBloPoMo, aka National Blog Posting Month. I’m going to give it a shot. I did it last year, but missed one day. I did it in August, and made it the whole month. I think I can do it. But I’m adding another element-I’m going to try to post […]
