Still nothing

I really don’t want to blog now. I’m reading “Change of Heart” by Jodi Picoult and I’d much rather put my jammies on, turn on the Olympics, and read. So that’s what I’m going to do.

Use those wrist straps!

Andy is over at my parents’ house right now, helping my dad move their flat screen TV from their bedroom back down to their family room. It had been replaced by a slightly bigger TV about a year ago. That new TV was quite nice, and worked great, until today.

My mom called me around […]

Yeah, yeah

I have been the epitome* of laziness. I sit at my computer several times a day, but I don’t bother to put in a post. Sorry! I don’t think it’s that I don’t have anything to say-many of you are probably laughing at the idea of this. I just don’t feel like posting. There, I […]

It’s good to know people

This morning, around 11:00, I was (stupidly) lifting Caden into my car, not using my legs at all, and twisting while holding Caden out in front of me. (Caden is perfectly capable of climbing into my car and into his carseat, but he was busy eating his sucker after getting his haircut, which is adorable […]

I’m moving to Florida…

…or California, Arizona, Mexico, or the Virgin Islands. Anywhere but crappy Wisconsin.

The following pictures were taken 8 days apart. I took the first picture so I could keep track of the buds and leaves as the spring progresses. The second is to show the contrast of that wonderful day compared to today.

[…]

The calm before the storm

Today is the first day of spring. Here in Wisconsin, that often doesn’t mean much. We usually still have snow on the ground, and this year is no exception. But today was a gorgeous, sunny day. It was still plenty chilly, only getting to about 40 degrees or so, but the sun was shining and […]

Places I’d rather not take my kids:

The grocery store: They insist on riding in the cart with a truck cab in front, which is very difficult to steer, and greatly decreases the amount of room in the cart for our groceries. And now they’re getting bigger so they don’t fit as well in there together. The mall: At each mall […]

I blew it x 2

Yep, I forgot to blog on Sunday. If I’d had that extra hour we lost because of daylight savings time, I would have been able to do it! Nah, that’s just a lame excuse. Oh well. Since I’d already forgotten on Sunday, I got extra lazy yesterday and decided to skip blogging again. That was […]

Callie

My parents now have a one-eyed dog.

No, they didn’t get a new dog. Callie is still around. She just has one eye now.

Over the past few months, we’ve been noticing her left eye has been looking cloudy. It truly just looked like cataracts. She is 13, after all. My mom would mention […]

Unending…

-that’s how I’d describe this winter. February always feels like the longest month to me, since it’s just winter, snow, slush…crap. Andy’s outside shoveling right now for about the 50th time this winter! (I very rarely shovel-not my thing!) When will it end???!!!
