Well, spring officially started almost two weeks ago. We had a couple of nice days. These started showing up:
They were so happy to see the light!
And then last weekend, we got this:
And then it looked like this:
And this:
Luckily, the snow has mostly melted. There are still some snowy chunks laying around. But the snow isn’t blanketing my crocuses, daffodils, and tulips. And the temperature got up to this:
But the temp only got up there after a very cold, windy morning. The temp in the morning was only 38 (I don’t like to think about wind chills in April!) and it was quite chilly. So the temp change was welcome. And totally normal for Wisconsin at this time of year.
So when will it be truly spring? It’s a crap shoot around here! But it can’t come soon enough.
Love the first shot, nice job!!!
So sorry about your snow, but at least the first shot means there is hope…right?
I can’t see them, I think flickr is having issues today…I will come back later!
oh they are up now.
booo on the snow…
I love that first flower! Is that a crocus??? I want some of my own!!
I feel your pain on the snow. The nice thing about March/April snow is that it tends to melt almost as quickly as it came down. Hope you’re getting back to spring-like weather! 🙂
I love the crocus! I hope the snow goes soon. I’m in NW Indiana, and we had snow on Sunday, but luckily it’s gone now.
i love your running commentary with your photos! great shots! and your kids are adorable :O)
my YOU CAPTURE post today includes drops, buds, and kitties. you are always welcome in The Shadow of the Cross. feel free to visit anytime :O).
I especially like the first one. Great job.
LOL – I love the temp shot! Should I not mention that *that’s* been our low at night lately? We don’t so much have spring as “Not hot enough to be summer yet”.
Do we live really close to each other? Our weather seems awfully similar.
Here’s to warm weather ahead and not having to say “wind chill” for a very, very long time!
Great shots!
