Weigh-in Wednesday

Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans

It’s Wednesday again, and it’s time to fess up.

Initial weight: 124.0
Last week: 123.2
This week: 123.0
Loss this week: -0.2 lbs

It’s not the biggest loss, but it’s just fine for me based on my eating habits this past week. Well, it was Easter, you know. And Easter means candy. I have very poor self-control. We also had lunch over at my in-laws’ house, and they asked that I bring Swedish Coffee Cake.
(Remember this? bunny cake)

So I had a bit of Swedish Coffee Cake on Sunday. Then there were cupcakes, and I’m a sucker for those, so I had a couple. And a couple of dinner rolls.

Monday morning, I had some leftover Swedish Coffee Cake in the morning. That evening, I went with some friends to visit a friend in the hospital while she’s on bedrest. We took her Qdoba. I don’t really want to know how many calories were in my giant vegetarian burrito. But it was really yummy! Oh, and there were cinnamon rolls from Sam’s club there for the eating as well. Yup, I had two.

At work yesterday, I had some delicious German milk chocolate that my manager brought back from her trip. Then, at the clinic, there were two birthday cakes (for one person!) that were too hard to pass up! One was a cinnamon coffee cake type thing, and the other was a lemon poppy seed bundt cake. They were both quite tasty. After work, I picked up the boys and we headed to McDonald’s for dinner before we went to pick my parents up from the airport. I caved and got a Quarter Pounder with no cheese rather than a salad or a chicken sandwich. The boys were supposed to have apples in their Happy Meals but they accidentally gave us fries for both of them. I did ask for the apples, too, so we got both. But there were fries on the tray. I did manage some self-restraint at that point and only ate a few.

But to counteract my yucky eating habits, I’ve been Shredding every day. Yesterday I moved onto Level 2. I like the change, and I really like that workout. It’s a lot more of a workout for my arms, but it’s cool. It’s hard to get myself up every morning to do it. I used to take some mornings off to sleep in a bit. Not so much now. I find it really hard to motivate myself to work out later in the day. Sort of like today. I did get up early this morning to run on the treadmill for a half hour. I figured I’d do my Shred during the boys’ nap time. Well, it’s their nap time, and I’m sitting in our comfy chair, blogging and reading blogs, watching “The Real Housewives of New York” on DVR. I’ll do it later. I must do it later! All of my sisters at the Sisterhood are keeping me honest!

So that’s it for today.
