I was really tempted to skip this week (again!) because Beth gave us a really difficult challenge! We were to take a picture of something we’ve never done before. It sounds simple, but it means stepping outside of our comfort zone of picture taking. I mostly take pictures of my boys, or stuff around my house or neighborhood. So I was stumped.
I liked Keli’s (over at Kidnapped by Suburbia) take on the challenge and even though she takes millions of (AMAZING) pictures of her daughter, she took pictures of her daughter doing something new, or just a different take on another subject. Very creative, Keli!
Anyway, here’s what I’ve got for this week.
At the zoo yesterday (where I’ve taken thousands of pictures, often of the same things), we saw the moose standing in the middle of his little lake drinking water. I’d never seen him doing that before!
Today, I took my camera with me as Caden and I headed out for an errand before gymnastics. I noticed the weeds growing next to the curb at the intersection, and wondered how they get there, how they manage to grow and thrive there, and realized I’ve never taken a picture of those before.
And finally, on our way home, we drove past this corn field that we drive by all the time. We’ve been loving the corn on the cob lately (not from this field), and I thought this would make a nice shot.
Check out some other new shots over at Beth’s.
Next week: Macro. YIKES!!!
first of all, thank YOU! you’re too kind.
secondly, love the pictures, especially the corn field. that’s a totally printable / hangable picture.
Love the moose. I agree this week was hard.
Very Creative Sarah!
I love moose! Very cool photo! 🙂
Nice compositions. You literally made a dead weed interesting. Love the moose.
my armpit might have been more interesting. kidding–your photos are beautiful, as always.
I like your pictures. Great out side the box thinking? Who would ever think to take a picture of weeds. But I love it : )
