Today we headed to the Wisconsin State Fair. It’s a bit of a sensory overload: food vendors, midway (aka carnival) rides, annoying carnies offering to guess your weight (there’s NO way I’m getting on a giant scale in the middle of the fairgrounds!), and tons of people. And it was pretty hot. But there’s plenty of fun stuff to look at, as well. Here’s a few of the things we did and saw:
The rooster was GINORMOUS!
I love Caden’s expression!
The boys were more impressed by a little model roller coaster (made by some school group) than petting the cow!
Andy graciously agreed to go down this slide-I’m not a fan of heights. But Noah loved it. Check out his face in the close-up!
And for my mom, we checked out the sheep. They really are pretty cute. Pretty dumb, but cute.
After gorging ourselves on Saz’s (sour cream and chive fries-YUM!!!), lemonade, popcorn, and a giant cream puff (for me-I actually just want the cream, no puff), we headed home. The boys are passed out on their beds, and I’m not far behind!
