You Capture: Hands

We had the choice of “hands”, “chair” or “green”. I debated doing “green” and “chair” as I started covering our kitchen table chairs with green fabric, but then I decided to go with “hands”. My boys’ hands are very busy, very much of the time.

Busy playing “Rock, paper, scissors” […]

Last day of preschool

It’s hard to believe it’s already the end of May! The end of May means the end of preschool for the year. Even though Caden will be going to the “extension program” for the next two weeks, today was his official last day with his regular class.

Look at how he’s changed!

[…]

A nice way to end the day

After work today (a day I thought would be short, where I’d be home by 12:00, but ended up being a long, full day), I was ready to come home and relax on the sofa, reading the paper, looking at catalogs from the mail, and finishing Thursday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New York” […]

Fun at the Brewer game

We took advantage of the 5-Day, 5-County Celebration to get half-price tickets and landed ourselves in the ninth row down the left field foul line. They were pretty great seats, but it was hard for the boys to see from that low. We still managed to have a good time (despite a pretty bad loss […]

You Capture: Sweet

There was a fair amount of sweetness this past week.

A sweet toothless face (his fourth lost tooth in about 2 weeks!):

A sweet light fixture at the American Girl store at Mall of America:

The sweet boutique at American Girl:

Sweet silhouettes at the aquarium:

A sweet […]

You Capture: Comfort

(We’re over at Keli’s again this week for You Capture.)

Comfort is found on a sunny warm day in early April when you can run around barefoot (I wish I’d painted my toenails before I took this shot!)…

…or in a snuggle with sweet Mollie, my brother-in-law’s dog.

You Capture: Feet

Oh, I love feet!*** That may make me weird. I know feet gross out a lot of people. Not me! I spent the fall of 1997 taping ankles of sweaty Badger football players. That’s a lot of stinky feet!

But I really love my boys’ feet. They’re so cute! I had a […]

You Capture: Reaching

I slacked last week and didn’t participate in Beth’s challenge to capture quiet. I was exhausted living a single parent’s life while Andy was in Ireland. I just didn’t have it in me to work on my blog. But I’m back, and I had a good time coming up with shots for […]

Diptych::Daylight

“Daylight” was a great choice of Catheroo‘s for this week’s diptych. We had tons of daylight last week, then went through a few days of fog and overcast skies. Today, the sun came out again. And now with daylight savings time, we’re able to enjoy the daylight even longer!

First, here’s Catheroo’s shot for today. […]

Diptych Tuesday::Shapes

I was in charge of coming up with our theme this week, and Catheroo had to remind me at about 3:15 yesterday afternoon! I had some inspiration from Caden’s art project at school, though.

First, here’s Catheroo’s shot of shapes. I think I remember these things floating around the house when I was little and […]
