It’s You Capture day, and I actually planned ahead as I’m heading out to Las Vegas for a long weekend with the hubby, my parents, my brother and sister-in-law, my aunt, and other friends and family members of my cousin’s to celebrate his 40th birthday. It should be a great […] I had taken a different shot early today, so proud of myself for getting a head start on this daily task. I guess I’ll save it for tomorrow, though that might be cheating a bit. Oh well. So we did some writing today, in preparation for Noah’s upcoming 6th birthday. (Where does the time go???) […] Second day of school, first day riding the bus to school.

No tears from me, either! We’re both growing! […] We made it! Noah had his first full day of kindergarten today. And he was a total rock star! I was a wreck (thank goodness big sunglasses are in style and it was sunny today!), but he was a champ! I’m really proud of him.
We made sure we were up and […] Noah starts kindergarten tomorrow. My heart is aching. It’s the end of an era! I can’t believe he’s old enough to go to kindergarten! But he’s totally ready. Completely ready. I’m not. Today the boys got to play at three different parks with Grandma, then this afternoon we had some time to play outside before […] This morning, Noah was ultra-brave at the dentist as he got his first filling. He got to breath “happy air” which smelled like chocolate-his choice. I didn’t get to see him while under the influence of his “happy air”, but I didn’t hear anything and he was smiling when the dental assistant called us back […] The boys had their 6-month dentist check-up today, and everything went just fine. Except for the fact that Noah needs to have a filling. Crap! Apparently his six-year molars have an enamel “defect” that will need sealants, but one of them needs to be “smoothed out”. Another week, another challenge. And this one was a little bit of a challenge. But when we were at the water park yesterday (more on that later), I thought I’d take advantage of the thousands of times Noah went down one of the water slides (Caden wasn’t much of a fan!). Andy’s dad’s mother was one of 12 kids, so it’s a big group. I really know nothing of large families like that. When we got married, my entire family (at the time) numbered 21.
